Ten Mile Picnic Area

Ten-Mile Picnic area is a tow group picnic site with tables and large fire ring (with seating). Three individual family picnic sites with tables and fire rings. No potable water or refuse container (pack it in-pack it out). Small open area for games. Near Ten Mile Creek (no fish), and an environmental education trail (trail guide booklet is available from the Helena Ranger Station). The Switchback Ridge trail starts across the creek from the picnic area, and climbs approximately 3.5 miles up to the continental Divide. Reservations are required for groups of 25 persons or more, and a small fee is charged.
