Maverick Mountain
Maverick Mountain is a favorite of families and kids for downhill skiing and features an extensive cross country skiing network of trails. It is located near a mineral hot springs with cross-country trail access. Cross-country ski rentals are available at Elkhorn Resort (2 miles from ski area). The longest downhill run is 2.5 miles.
The Mountain is available for private skiing Monday through Wednesday for groups of 100 or more.
Facilities include a base lodge with cafe, beer and wine room and a ski shop with downhill rentals. Ski school is offered from 10:00am. to 4:00pm and half day from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
A motel, bar, and 2 restaurants are located with 2 miles of the hill. Swimming may be enjoyed in the nearby mineral pools. Lodging is available nearby at the Grasshopper Inn, Elkhorn Hot Springs or in Dillon, Montana.
