In their backyard, guests can present flies to rising trout in the "Channels" section of the Madison River, enjoy the private 2 acre pond that boasts rainbow trout averaging 16 inches, or stalk browns and brook trout in the meandering mountain feed stream, Jack Creek. And, that's just from the property!

The well-renown blue ribbon waters of southwest Montana are easily accessible from the Ranch and guests enjoy expert guided fishing on the Big Hole, Beaverhead, Ruby, Gallatin, Yellowstone and Madison rivers, all of which are just a short drive away. Professional ORVIS endorsed guides enjoy keeping experts challenged and novices thrilled, knowing every riffle, seam, and trout secret. After a thrilling day on the river, guests return to this pristine property nestled in the scenic Madison Valley. The toughest decision of the day will be whether to wet a line again on the properties' fishing venues, or dive into the scrumptious appetizers prepared by the culinary institute trained chef.

With resident wildlife such as sand hill cranes, coyotes, deer, eagles, and even moose roaming about, the dramatic snow-capped mountain peaks shimmering in the epic sunsets, and the tantalizing smells drifting from the kitchen, most folks are drawn to a deck chair and engage in the inevitable fish tales with friends and the lodge manger. After a memorable 4 course meal highlighting local cuisine, the hot tub will soak those sore angling muscles as the "Big Sky" fills up with discernible constellations.
