American Federal Savings Bank is a local, Montana community bank. American Federal's Helena Prospect branch serves as headquarters to Eagle Bancorp Montana, Inc. and American Federal Savings Bank. American Federal was founded in 1922 in Helena, Montana as a Montana chartered building and loan association. In 1975, the Bank adopted a federal thrift charter. The Bank still maintains its headquarters and two other branches in Helena, with additional branches in Bozeman, Butte and Townsend, Montana. The Bank's market area is concentrated in south central Montana, to which it offers commercial, residential and consumer loans, along with a variety of deposit products and services.
