    Ride the rails of the historic Butte, Anaconda and Pacific Railway. The Copper King Express will operate from June to September on Friday and Saturday.   • Frontier House Museum (Virginia City)
    The crew and cast of Frontier House spent most of 2001 in Montana filming the series in which three modern day families time-travel back to live as they would have on the 1883 Rocky Mountain frontier. Composed of seven adults and six children, these adventurous families resided in 'Frontier Valley', an isolated mountain location in south central Montana. Reliving an era coincident with the completion of the Northern Pacific Railroad in the Montana Territory, they endured the hardships and privations of pioneer life for six months.

  • Reeder's Alley (Helena)
    Begun in the early 1860's, Reeder's Alley was carefully constructed of native materials and brick, brought to the new mining camp from Fort Benton to the north. Today, Reeder's Alley is a restored miner's village consisting of office rentals, a restaurant and a restored and furnished miner's cabin.
  • The Sapphire Gallery (Philipsburg)
    West of Philipsburg, Montana, geologic forces created rare and colorful gemstones called "Sapphires." These precious stones were first discovered here in the Sapphire Mountains in 1894. Sapphire mining is available indoors year-round. Nowhere else can you mine sapphires then see a heat-treating lab and jewelry in the making. Within our showroom, you can turn a rough sapphire into a personal treasure, create your own heirloom or choose from our elegant selection of worldwide gemstones and finished jewelry.
